Hot Summer Days

’Hot Summer Days’ is a view of the tiny isle of Fidra in the Forth estuary. The isle was the setting for Robert Louis Stevenson’s mythical ‘Teasure Island’. I had visited many times before on family outings but this was the first really hot day and it made such an impression on me I felt compelled to paint it.

The original measures 30” x 42” (37” x 49” framed) and is available to purchase.
